Another Musick-al Note: # 33
The opening verses of the Bible speak volumes about four great ‘Omni’ attributes of God which are Omni-creating, Omnipotent, Omniscience and Omnipresence. In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth (everything)! The Bible speaks of His creating power in this way ‘Let there be and it was’. The Hebrew writer (11:3) said that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things that are seen were not made of things which do not appear.’ In Genesis, chapter 1, God said, ‘Let there be” seven times and it appeared ‘as from the storehouses of eternity’. Another attribute is revealed in Genesis 1:26 when God said, “Let us make man in our image” showing the plurality of His Being which is continued throughout the Scriptures. Later to be known as Father, Son and Spirit – each having activity, not only in the creation but in the salvation of man (Genesis 1:1, Hebrews 1:1-10, John 1:1-5, 14, 16:7-15, 1 Corinthians 2:7-10, 15:24, 2 Corinthians 5:18-21, Ephesians 1:1-2, Philippians 2:1-11, 1 Peter 1:17-22 and countless other Scriptures which reveal the relationships of each to the other).
God created the world and all that is therein, including man and said, “It is very good” (Genesis 1:31). Satan entered this unblemished work of God, Son and Spirit with the pernicious power and intent to destroy God’s work and through deceitful words caused Eve and Adam to disobey God. Their sin caused their death of separation from God and from the tree of life. Yet God’s redemption of man had already been prepared (2 Timothy 1:9, 1 Corinthians 2:7, Ephesians 1:4, Titus 1:2, 1 Peter 1:20), even to the blood of Christ who was slain before the foundation of the world (Revelation 13:8). After Jesus death and burial, He was raised from the dead and now sits at God’s right hand, giving salvation to all who obey Him (Hebrews 5:9).
